Setting up the Tents

Today was the annual "set up the tents event!" This year Ellie, Nathaniel and Abbey were ready to help. They did a great job and even had a little fun. Ellie was able to put up a whole tent on her own!

Nathaniel checking the alignment of the tent poles

Ellie raising the tent body to the frame and Nathaniel hooking ALL the stakes together:)

Nathaniel was so fun to watch today.

Fracture Update

In the "busy"ness of the past week, we got our "bones" mixed up. Shane actually fractured his FIBULA. We head to Yellowstone tomorrow all day for the annual outfitter meetings. There has been snow every day this week in the Park.

Saying Goodbye, cont. . .

Saying Goodbye

Ellie drew this picture yesterday after the veterinarian told us things did not look good for Callie.

This morning we had to put our little Callie down. She was not able to recover from the injuries she sustained from the Thursday morning incident. If you would think to pray for the kids as they go through the grieving process again this month. (We lost an older horse earlier in May). We will be able to bury her this afternoon and the kids and I created this rock to place there. We have lots of "whys" and we are praying that God will give Shane and I wisdom as we sort through all this with Ellie, Nathaniel and Abbey. Thank you for thinking of us and praying for us too.

Oh! An update on Shane. He decided to go to the Dr. yesterday because his leg was swelling. We found out after an x-ray that he has a fractured fibula. They did not cast it, but it will take about 4 weeks for him to heal.
