The kids and I went to visit Mr. Hager. He is not doing well and the prognosis is not very good. They are going to begin radiation this week, but only try it for two weeks to start with. It will take an absolute miracle for him to pull out of this. As Ellie said though, "Mom I sure am glad he's a Christian."

Christine and Emily are Here!
Emily, Christine, Abbey, Nathaniel, Ellie and Sam at the Upper Falls
Christine and Emily have been here since Wednesday. After an eventful flight experience, they arrived safely and spent Thursday watching the kids while I was out of town for teacher training in Moscow Idaho. On Friday, Shane took everyone to Yellowstone while I travelled home. Yesterday we recovered and went swimming in the afternoon, after a much anticipated (by Emily) visit to the pasture to meet the horses. We are looking forward to some naps here in just a bit and see what the rest of the week holds.

Hager Update #3
Mr. Hager is recovering in ICU after his surgery yesterday. Shane talked to Kay today and she said that they were not able to get all of the tumor out because it had it's own blood supply and it began to bleed too much. They have not been able to talk to the doctor who did the actual surgery to know what the next step is, but I 'm sure prayer is still in order. They will be doing a biopsy on the portion that was removed to find out what kind of cancer it is. Thank you for your prayers.

Hager Update #2 . . .
Mr. Hager is coming home this afternoon and will be having surgery to remove the tumor on Tuesday. He was able to get dressed, brush his teeth and even shave this morning! The tumor is on the right side of his brain, but is connected to all four lobes. The Dr. said that the right side is much more resilient than the left, so that is in his favor. I will keep you updated as I know more. Thanks for praying!
