Grandma and Grandpa McClaflin are here and yesterday the kids got to "Stir Off" for the first time! Here's a video. By the way, Nathaniel's came out the best (with a little help from Grandpa)!

What is "stirring off?"

You cook REAL maple syrup to a certain temperature and then you pour it into a bowl and stir it until it becomes the right consistency and color to become candy. Then you drop it on wax paper and let it cool. It's been a family tradition in Shane's family for many years.
